Privacy

PollsAndForms collects the minimum data needed to run polls and forms: your account details if you register, the answers you submit, and — only if you opt in — optional demographic details and product-usage analytics.

Anonymous responses

When you vote on a poll that allows anonymous responses, we store a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address and browser to prevent duplicate voting. We do not store your raw IP address, and poll owners never see it or your account identity — they only see aggregate counts and, for signed-in polls, whether a response came from a signed-in or anonymous visitor.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie for signing in and keeping your session secure. If you accept optional cookies, we also use a local analytics session id and may remember demographic answers between polls. You can change this choice at any time from the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.

Demographics

Optional demographic details (age range, region, education, income band, political leaning, gender identity) are only stored if you explicitly consent, and only used in aggregate to describe who answered a poll. Withdrawing consent deletes your stored profile.

Account data

You can delete any poll or form you own from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact the site owner via the GitHub repository linked in the footer.
